It Is all About Him

By: Musue Haddad

It is all about him
All about him
Not my desires,
Not your demands.
I say,
All about him.
I look at you.
And smile, I do
Open my heart
With love
Stretch my hands
Cause, I see him
In you
His image
Like footage
I see
In you, me
All the world
Now I know
It's his Image.
Oh, yes
His image
Just an image.
Where's his heart?

Here I Am

By: Musue Haddad

Here I am Almighty,
Hands opened to your grace.
Heart poised for your grace
Yearns to listen, heed fully
To feast your bountiful grace
Outstretched hands for yours
Protection from pain, grief
Forever in your embrace
And your presence
Unmerited blessings, mercy
Undeserved uncommon favors
Unearned love and seasonings
Expanded direction, character
The way to glorious exaltation.

What You say

By: Musue N. Haddad

I don’t know what you see
When you look at me
I’m a child of God
Made in his image
Don’t know what you think
Your thoughts
Careless
Don’t know what you say
How you say it
The way you frame it
Why you say it
Who you say to
where you say
when you say
Careless
I’m a child of God
I look to him
He watches over me
My vigilant protector
Always with me
His walk and work
Alive and revealing.

Look and Listen

By: Musue N. Haddad

Listen you’ll hear,
The cry of a wounded heart
She carries a child
Lives in terror
Both day and night.

Listen you’ll hear
Brutal and loud shouts
Voice of the salvage abuser
Fists, feet, shoes, yell, bark
Vicious giant, brutal weapons

Look keenly and you’ll see
Frighten unborn child
Moves, seeks refuge in the womb
Mother, pleads, begs, sobs
Beast proudly grins

Will you stop to listen?
Take a time to look...?
Two pairs of eyes in tears,
Two pairs of hands beckon for you.
Will you listen, or turn away?
