Here’s my Petition
From my inmost heart
To yours
From my hands
To your gentle hands
You're my everything
The Powerful
Mighty Warrior
The Unchangeable
And inexhaustable
Our Guide
The Source
Who Gives freely
My Provider, benefactor
The rebuilder
Like a handy man, repairs
The builder, rebuilder
The giver, restorer
Always, willing, present
This I know
And so I come
My friend
You love me
Without labor.
This I know
Want to sit in your presence
Forever, feast your radiance
Celebrate your love always
Let me feel your touch
Open my eyes
My heart, hands always
My mind and soul
Want to see you
Feel you always
In my heart.
The palm of my hands
And my dear
Grant my Petition
The Petition
I’ve sung with difficulty
Labored to elucidate
It's tender, earnest
The request, plea
Makes me yearn
Leaves my day flawed
Oh, my dear
Help me to always treasure
Your love and friendship
Give me wisdom.
Strength, understanding
Set my eyes on you
Only you, and
To remain faithful
And yours, always.
