Devil’s Incarnate

© Musue N. Haddad

Listen, Devil’s Incarnate
Some call, "le diable incarné"
Others point, "Diavolul întrupat,"
To many, you're 'serpiente'
Listen carefully
You beast
Read my lips, if you can
Better still,
Look at my face, stern
Confidence you lack
I speak with faith
Not your kind of faith
No, no, rapscallion
You Devil’s incarnate
Offspring of the beast
In robe, you rob souls
Pompous, egotistical impostor
Vainglory, Selfish growler
Delusions of importance
Too ashamed to unveil
Show your real identity
Or to flaunt true lineage
Sullen, sadistic, sullage
Devil’s Incarnate
Your time of invasion over
Irrevocably over, failure
We’re sailing, rising further
You cruelly robbed us; burglar
Did take a lot from me
Keep your tiny victory
Armored, I say this in your face
Hear me, “You’re disgusting!”
You’ll suffer the agony of defeat.
For viciousness, selfishness, pains
Migraines, injury of your reigns
Your darkness, long transposed
Agony, exposure, disruptions
Yours, and your cohorts; lowlife
We are in the light; steady peace
Beautiful family, friends, at ease
Filled with joy, freedom from strife
Hear this, 'siamo Benedetti!'
And listen Devil’s incarnate
Pay heed, you ingrate
This is a limited time offer, hellion!
“Sit quietly, show compunction
Or face the wrath.”
“Tuck your tail, Devil’s Incarnate.”
Or, the axe falls at once.”

You’ll be openly exposed, unwelcomed
Such disgrace, you’ll regret
Shred you forever apart, crumbed.
And your allies will abscond!

Happy Birthday

© Musue N. Haddad

I’ll sing Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday to me!
I sing with joy
Not just for one year
But for my existence
Persistence,subsistence
And my substance
For the memories of days
Of years gone by
Ah, the paths and trails
Faded, bold Footprints
The moments, events
All parts of history
Spiral pages of my story
Some glowingly calculated
Others, unavoidably imposed
The joy, pains, warm tears
What a blend of years
And for the moments here
As well as the days near
Plus the years ahead
I embrace with ease
With unwavering faith
For I know, and believe
This is my season
Another beautiful round
Continuation of my story
An extraordinary history!

Re: AST

© Musue N. Haddad

What is AST
That I've tried to grasp
It's good, and that
Yes, that's what I'm told
The one talked about
But is it the same one bout to roll
What is really AST

Now I will ask
Is it right?
I have my doubts
Right from onset
It sounds wrong
Obscure, crafty, most super
Supreme, powerful than all
Then there's this prodding
"There's no harm," then
The warning, the very same first
"No, No, let no man be measured..."
Also another, "believe!"

So I sit here and plead
If it's not right, please
Mend the wrong
Make it right easily
Let it be beautifully done
Make haste
My one, earnest plead

Reflection

© Musue N. Haddad

Let me not be
A helicopter hovering
Over my son
Yet still, let me not be
So ignorant, or weak
Tired, nor exhausted
And then unknowingly
Allow, or throw my son
At destroyers, Hypocrites
Who’ll shatter his life; dream.
Teach me to balance
My role as caretaker
Of this beautiful miracle
You sent my way
Send us just a few friends
Oh yes, not many
But only some
Loyal, supportive, unwavering
Unyielding to greed, unselfish
Who will bolster our lives
Serve as sub-caretakers
Of my Precious Jewel
Rare, beautiful treasure
Kick away the liars
Keep at bay the deceitfuls
The barbarians, the Quacks
The Shark, the shackles
And all who seek subjects
Direct my actions, thoughts
Intercede when I am falling
Intervene, when I’m weak
And lost my way
Let me not fail
This beautiful role
The gift of motherhood
Thank you, my dear
As for my needs, wishes
I give it all to you
My hopes, heart's desires
I know, I believe
You’ve heard me,
And I have it.

For Today, and For Always

© Musue N. Haddad

(This poem was written after reading an article yesterday about medical studies (deliberately infecting people with syphilis and other sexually transmitted diseases in Guatemala) carried out in Guatemala without the knowledge of the [human] subjects.)

Thank you for today
For being Overcomers
The resounding victories
And for the breakthroughs
The crew and askew
Thank you for yesterday,
And all the days before.
I embrace all,
Thank you for always,
Your revelations,
The Beacons, factions
Strengths, rations,
Insights, visions,
In all, you shine
I give you thanks.
For your unceasing love,
Super beautiful gifts,
Hence I come again,
Today, and for always,
My Knight in armor,
I solemnly implore,
Your continuous visits,
In my home, heart.
And for my child,
I say, I need you,
Manifest your presence
Never depart
More so, I ask,
Keep the destroyer away,
Ban the thief always
Sanction the demolisher
For today and always,
You're my Prince's guide
And his vigilant protector,
Against prejudice, unfairness,
Deliberate depravedness,
Widespread iniquitousness,
Even so, kindle in him
The fire of Your faith
Strength at heart,
Shower upon us your gifts,
Always grow to know you
Appreciate, know you intimately
For today, and always
My earnest plea
Strengthen us always,
Mind, body, and Spirit
Be with us, ablaze
We cannot stand alone,
And with no other
As stated in our covenant
Set upon Your Word
And greater promises,
By our loyal, faithful agent
We are beneficiaries, heirs
So, our eyes are set on you
Thank you, I say,
For today, and for always.

My Petition

By: Musue N.Haddad

Here’s my Petition
From my inmost heart
To yours
From my hands
To your gentle hands
You're my everything
The Powerful
Mighty Warrior
The Unchangeable
And inexhaustable
Our Guide
The Source
Who Gives freely
My Provider, benefactor
The rebuilder
Like a handy man, repairs
The builder, rebuilder
The giver, restorer
Always, willing, present
This I know
And so I come
My friend
You love me
Without labor.
This I know
Want to sit in your presence
Forever, feast your radiance
Celebrate your love always
Let me feel your touch
Open my eyes
My heart, hands always
My mind and soul
Want to see you
Feel you always
In my heart.
The palm of my hands
And my dear
Grant my Petition
The Petition
I’ve sung with difficulty
Labored to elucidate
It's tender, earnest
The request, plea
Makes me yearn
Leaves my day flawed
Oh, my dear
Help me to always treasure
Your love and friendship
Give me wisdom.
Strength, understanding
Set my eyes on you
Only you, and
To remain faithful
And yours, always.

My Song for you

By: Musue N. Haddad

I say it
You are loved
My haven of joy
I say it aloud
A chorus
Snap my fingers
Same time
Stomp my feet
In unison
A beautiful melody,
Shout delicately, lovingly
Accentuate my creed
A diktat; an edict
My hands lifted up
My eyes upward
At the top of my voice
I say,
Boundless, limitless
Your boldness, creativity
Synchronization, blissfulness
Brilliance, astuteness
All your Ingenuity
My dear
Enfolded in His armor
You are safe, shielded
Remember always
You’re a line of Elohim
And our faithful custodian
The Guardian of the chosen
Lineage of greatness, wholeness
Unswerving piðstiv
Oh! Yes, my dear
You are a great Prince
Prince of light
Might, strength, power
You’ve also inherited
So my dear
In a purposeful
Hoarse, gentle tone,
I say with a smile
And with adoration
And utter devotion
You are wholly victorious!

Move for Us Now

By: Musue N. Haddad

You’ve brought me this far,
Cuddle my boy to safety,
And then give him lovingly
Joy, peace, and happiness
Beautiful gifts daily glowing
Precision of all systems.
You rescued us from destruction,
Adversity, ruins and fears,
To a place of beautiful rest.
You wiped our inconsolable tears.
Did you bring us this far,
To let my face cover again in tears?
Did you give us this faith to again face fear?
Did you take us from the abyss of darkness,
To let us fall back into the dark?
No, no, no, I don't think so
And truly don't believe it's your way.
From every turn, your hands have played.
Even when it all seemed impossible.
Since silence is not your character.
In this situation, you are moving
This we know, our all powerful guide,
Give me wisdom to see your moving
Give me patience, understanding.
Remove all obstacles, barriers, burdens,
Let there be a break though this moment.
Retrace from odd to successful path,
Removal of hindrances, overflow with colors
A flow of viable and stable takings,
An abode filled with your love, and peace.
Our guide, advocate, provider and banner,
Supreme, Highest Authority move for us now!

My Secret

By: Musue N. Haddad

My secret
Not a secret
You know,
You’ve heard
It’s recognizable
Renown, royal
Not prideful
You may argue
Shun, and eschew
You may laugh
Shirk and Mock
Poke fun at
Sneer at
You’ll be shocked
I say gladly
My secret
Pure and bare
I accept, embrace
Honor and celebrate
Oh yes,
I extol and praise
The ever-present
Gladly, no judgment
Gives infinite light
So forthright
Full of grace
Visibly glowing
Love, joy, peace
Yes, it's beautiful
And I'm growing!

Let me Rise

Musue N. Haddad

I call and come to you
To you, only you
Body, soul and mind
You, you, my friend
Almighty, you’re my all
Come, lend your hand
Lift me high
Up to the height
Let me rise and rise
Reach, grasp the Prize
Let me fly
See your face
And your grace
Feast on grace
Forever your grace

The Place

By: Musue N. Haddad

Your message today,
Rewarding everyday
In everyway
Love and faith
And full honor
You are all
The I Am, not I will
Champion Propeller
So I ask today with my all
Take me there, it’s a prayer
To the place of assignment
And bring forth the comrade
An ally, mentor, no tyrant
The gateway of my Season
I want to summon
To say to my mentor
Your humble protégé waits!

Your Pledge

© Musue N. Haddad

Let us not be,
At the verge,
Nor the edge,
You made a firm pledge.
Your Words, your words,
Your unshakable pledge;
We may sing one dirge,
Maybe another dirge,
But never to submerge.
You also said,
That we always emerge,
Always upsurge.
By your word, I say,
You are the swage,
Our powerful wedge
For us, for us, dredge!
Keep us from the edge;
Let us ride high your sledge,
Always, always ahead,
Straight to the head,
Where we belong, the head
Keep us far from backstage.
Let us walk majestically onstage,
And emerge gracefully on masthead.
With your hedge as armor,
You, always our anchor,
The one Sovereign,
Our Yahweh.

I Dare You!

© Musue N. Haddad

Beastly scumbag in robe
Deadly wolf in sheep wool
Destructive liar, merciless butcher
Deceptive smile, double tongue
Chant prayers, preach verses, all bull
Shatters lives and dreams, ignoble

I double dare you
Stand before a plain mirror
Life size neutral mirror, miser
You’ll see a charlatan, a sadist
A brutal narcissist, vilest
Consume by self ego, a reviler

I daringly dare you
My head, heart, hands aligned brightly
I say, 'Your hideous mission has failed.'
Destructive mission, abolish forever
We are redeemed, protected forever
Loser, we’re destined for success, prosperity

It’s All for Him

© Musue N. Haddad

It is all for him
On behalf of him
I stand before you
For him, Michael
My Prince, a gem
Oh! What a blessing!
I thank you

You have me
In your custody
You gave him to me
And daily entrust me
He, in my custody
My role in your passion
Thank you

Today, I call on you
To you, my provider
Shepherd, Comforter
Restorer, my banner
My sight on you
My hands in yours
Thank You

Your heart, you’ve revealed
Oh! Yes, your passion!
Magnificent, amazing
Unconditional, free-flowing
Deep, wide, high, a beacon
Long, forever unsealed
Thank You

I openly, proudly declare
You’re the Supreme
Kind, esteem and kingly
And by your Word
And your authority
I am a heir
So here I am

I implore you for him
All for him, my child
Provide him in loads
Full peace, joy, love
And overall perfection
From the crown of his head
To the sole of his feet

By Your authority
Your Word, hearty
Your promises to me
I sing, applaud you forever
And say to all aloud
I call and extol him
And it is done!

(The wordings above came to me as a prayful song this morning. As the words came to mind, I sang and scribbled them on a piece of paper, while enroute to drop my son off to school. Eventhough it is released as a poem, it still rings as an inspirational and prayful song. June 11, 2010)

This Is It!

© Musue N. Haddad

When you walked
Marched up the stand
I looked from the grandstand
My heart filled with love
This is it!
I said.

When you sang, laughed
You shined
The Angel you are
The Prince you are
An enlightenment
This is it!

You hit the notes with mallets
Then the moves to classical music
My heart soared
This is it!
A bright new beginning
Endless possibilities

This is it.
New path to the future
A fresh beautiful start.
And nobly new title
All clearly proclaimed,
For you, a Prince!

Author's Note: Drafted June 3rd, 2010 to celebrate and honor my son, Michael Craddock Haddad's graduation from Kindergarten to first grade. Words are inadequate to express the joy that filled my heart to see my son walk the stage that day. I hope you too will experience that joy, if you haven't.

It Is all About Him

By: Musue Haddad

It is all about him
All about him
Not my desires,
Not your demands.
I say,
All about him.
I look at you.
And smile, I do
Open my heart
With love
Stretch my hands
Cause, I see him
In you
His image
Like footage
I see
In you, me
All the world
Now I know
It's his Image.
Oh, yes
His image
Just an image.
Where's his heart?

Here I Am

By: Musue Haddad

Here I am Almighty,
Hands opened to your grace.
Heart poised for your grace
Yearns to listen, heed fully
To feast your bountiful grace
Outstretched hands for yours
Protection from pain, grief
Forever in your embrace
And your presence
Unmerited blessings, mercy
Undeserved uncommon favors
Unearned love and seasonings
Expanded direction, character
The way to glorious exaltation.

What You say

By: Musue N. Haddad

I don’t know what you see
When you look at me
I’m a child of God
Made in his image
Don’t know what you think
Your thoughts
Careless
Don’t know what you say
How you say it
The way you frame it
Why you say it
Who you say to
where you say
when you say
Careless
I’m a child of God
I look to him
He watches over me
My vigilant protector
Always with me
His walk and work
Alive and revealing.

Look and Listen

By: Musue N. Haddad

Listen you’ll hear,
The cry of a wounded heart
She carries a child
Lives in terror
Both day and night.

Listen you’ll hear
Brutal and loud shouts
Voice of the salvage abuser
Fists, feet, shoes, yell, bark
Vicious giant, brutal weapons

Look keenly and you’ll see
Frighten unborn child
Moves, seeks refuge in the womb
Mother, pleads, begs, sobs
Beast proudly grins

Will you stop to listen?
Take a time to look...?
Two pairs of eyes in tears,
Two pairs of hands beckon for you.
Will you listen, or turn away?

Thank You

Always embrace and lifted us.

Thank you

Our lives sparkle with that beauty.

Thank you

And the gifts that’s with us,

We leave with high spirits

Thank You

Such heart and beautiful grace,
The joy and beauty of another day.

But deep inside, we're grateful.
For the freedom, the love, and smile,
And unconditional grace from above!

Mama's Face

By: Musue N. Haddad

Oh! Mama
Your face, that beautiful face;
Glowing with a joyful, beautiful smile
The warmth in your face,
Sparkling with divine love,
Glorifying the heavens above.

Oh! Mama
Your joy, your smile;
The brightness in your eyes,
Not a word,
Warmth of your closeness, worthwhile,
Speaks volume of your mission

My Mama
Thanks for your ever presence
Each with unique radiance
Picket, a barrier, bolster, fortify
Empathized, a rare timely mergence.
Thank you Mama!

My dear Mama
You’ve always been there
Rocky, narrow path, nowhere
Freezing cold, crying child
Never alone on the journey,
This I know.

Oh Mama
Sometimes it is cruel,
The pains, heartache,awful,
Wounding remarks from numskull
Mockeries and sarcasm, wrongful
Tears the already weary heart.

Yes Mama
Tis our season of breakthrough
Mighty, beautiful new beginning
For your grandchild and me, soaring,
Successful, prosperous destinies, anew
My heart is grateful.

Sixth Birthday: The Circle Completes

By: Musue Haddad

My child, my Prince Michael
Six years ago, Holy Thursday
To the world, you opened your eyes
That day, on a Holy Thursday
The celebrated Last Supper
Stories told, and retold
Thousands of years ago
Jesus shared bread and wine

Jesus washed the feet of his disciples
Demonstrated the duty of officials
To serve the public
Jesus’ betrayal by his own
And mocked by His beneficiaries
His friends denied him
And then, he was crucified
What a scene!

The day of your birth, my child
Six years ago, my Prince
Long hours of fight between good and evil
In the midst of pains, lies lingered
You emerged victorious that April
And Love outshined death that day
Honored with a beautiful smile

Since your formation
And then your birth on this earth
You’ve witnessed distractions, lies
Love battles pries, slantwise, gadflies
Pounded by untold betrayal my Prince
My child, the past is demise
For you, the moonrise and the sunrise

You are six, my Prince
Six, is like a full circular ellipse
You’re enfolded in a full circle
Like the Six points Star of David
Mighty Shield of David, a flawless star
Shielded David in battle and during his flight
Also symbolizes wisdom, beauty and divine grace

You’re a full six, my dear Michael
Anything less than beautiful
Your growth, and performance perfect
Nobly walk, talk, laugh, and brilliantly vocal
Crowned with courage and explicability
A whole loving miracle
An impressive divine plan that’s blissful

Surrounded by pure love, I implore,
From this day forth day, little Prince,
You shall rise graciously, and courageously.
As an torch bearer of love and pure light,
You shall enjoy uncommon favors.
You shall enjoy the fullness of love and life.
Wisdom, grace and peace are yours.
Overall, you shall fulfill your divine purpose
These I released upon you, my Prince.

Also, remember always my Prince
Release your hopes, and desires earnestly
As we do,with ease and joy always declare,
“I am here to shine brightly.
I am filled with God’s light and love
I am healthy, wise and blessed
I am one with God.”

Then, keep in mind that you are loved always
And God’s power is within you, my Prince!

Happy Sixth Birthday from your loving family & friends:
Mother Sarah, Aunty Kakuna, Monica. "Grandma at Minnesota Ave," Aunty Woman," The two Katherines." Taekwondo class, Aunty Victoria Michaels, Aunties, Uncles, and Friends.
As your Aunt Sarah concisely puts it: You are loved so much by many friends around the world you don't even know!

The ACT: Two as One

I call
You're appall
And hide
You whispered
“My ugly face”

Arms akimbo
Loud speaker
I say
“So What!”
“Fine heart, Ugly face;
Great mind;
Swift feet;
One harmonious beat”

You say “devoice”
I shout “rejoice”

“Two parts;
You and me;
Two halves;
That salves.”

Copyright © Musue N. Haddad

You and Me

You say
Ugly face
I say
So what
Fine heart, Ugly face
Great mind
Swift feet
One sound beat

You say devoice
I rejoice

You say nay
I say yea

Two parts
You and me
Two halves
That salves
